As I age, my skin gets dry, wrinkly, is not as oily as it used to be and my pores are more noticeable. I have taken it upon myself to do tons and tons of research on combination skin. Several years ago in my younger days, my skin used to be oily. I was not a fan of moisturizers, all I would do is cleanse and tone my skin only in the evenings. Now I feel like I have to cleanse my skin and tone it morning AND night. I also added a few other products to my skin care routine. Most women between the ages of 20 and 35 are loving "the gram" (Instagram) and the sunshine. Well, at least for me. I love checking out Instagram and bloggers on what skin care products they are loving. So with all the information I have retained, this is what I have been loving and using for myself.
I've been currently using the TULA cleanser, toner and under eye brightening roller-ball. I added the DIME Beauty hydraulic acid and brightening serum to my nightly routine. I do use Retin-A occasionally, not every day though because my face tends to get sensitive if I use it every single day.
I am also cautious and intentional about drinking at least a gallon of water a day, which has made HUGE difference in my skin texture. Another important step in my skin routine is sunblock! The more sun we get on our face, I feel like the more wrinkles appear quicker as we age. Moisturizer is like water to my skin.
In conclusion, I think once you hit 30, you should definitely have a skin routine that is working and helping you to reverse the aging process on your skin.
